We had four book talks today to catch up.

Students had to collaborate closely  to build a switch into a simple circuit this afternoon.

They used their notebook bindings to build dimmer switches, as well.

One crafty group succeeded in using the bulletin board to mount their switch.

The homework boogies, aka the time of day when students write down assignments, remains an important part of each afternoon.
 Homework:
Reading: 20 minutes, fill in reading log
Science: write 1 paragraph under you switch diagram and another paragraph under you dimmer diagram. How do these things work?
Math:
4th graders should click on the Strawberry Blog (link at the top of this page) for details and downloads.
5th grade mathematicians learned to play a game today called Multiplication Compare. They were dealt four number cards and had to create two two-digit numbers that when multiplied together would create the largest possible product. Their homework packet is in two parts: Mon-Wed; Wed-Fri.
