Julianne led a sketching activity this morning. Students experimented with different implements and learned about how they will use their sketchbooks this year. Below are a few nice examples of directions the students took this activity.

Homework:

  • Read 20 minutes, record book title and pages read on weekly planner
  • Sign permission slip for Lake Anza if you have not yet
  • Send in t-shirt order form by tomorrow. Size chart below from American Apparel.
  • Math:
4th Grade Math Homework:  Finish cutting out the MADS card game and play with someone at home at least one time this week.  Record the day and person you played with on the envelope.  Keep the envelope with your game cards stowed in your red math folder in your binder.  Here are links to the instructions andplaying cards for MADS.

5th graders write me a letter on lined notebook paper or type based on the following questions:
¨  What are you excited about learning this year in math?
¨  What has been and continues to be hard for you in math?
¨  Do you work best on your own or with partners?
¨  Is there anything else I should know about you as a learner?
