We kicked off our astronomy unit today.  Parents, ask your children what they learned.  Students, tell your parents about the fact/fiction game.  Here's the hands on activity that we performed today:

Students were asked to explore and observe the shadow cast by the sun.  Scientific play time.  

How does the shadow change/move?  How does this connect to early man/woman and their observations?

Homework:

-5th Math: see packet
-Sketch the moon phase tonight.  Remember, divide the blue piece of paper into 16 boxes, 4x4.  One box for each night.
