We had a special guest this morning – Wichacpiluta Candelaria, an Ohlone singer, dancer, and storyteller. Part of his powerful performance was on stereotyping, the curriculum we have been teaching in class the last few days.

More proud authors read their work this morning.

Students finished their responses to a Native American stereotyping slide show this afternoon. Click here to check it out.

Teachers used a rubric to help students plan and reflect on their responses.

Rosie the snake was lost and found today.

Students have one other piece of homework this evening aside from math and reading: clip one to three images from magazines or newspapers that portray a stereotype. Paste it to the same sheet you did your writing on last night.
