On a day of orientation and introductions, students interviewed then introduced each other. In this case, a student introduces her teacher.

She has one brother, a fish...

To orient themselves to the physical space, students poked around all the hidden spaces of the classroom and then drew a map. Then they had to place ten different items on the map in what they thought was the correct place.

The schedule, on the left, will ultimately be in Spanish. One subject will be translated each day. The scoreboard on the right was for a map quiz. Students created questions after closely examining a physical and a political map of California, then the rest of the class had to answer their questions. Nice work, groups two and four.
