| Cerrito students witnessed a condensation demonstration this afternoon. They drew what they thought was happening, communicated with each other, and wrote about their ideas. |
NO homework for the holiday.
Fourth graders continued their work on multiplication facts. One group learned their four's, using a technique called the Nine Lines that helps them form a visual image in their brains of the products of four. Others played dice games or worked on deductive thinking puzzles.
No homework tonight, to honor the Jewish High Holy days.
If students wish, they are encouraged to keep working on their facts atMath Magician or by playing card or dice games at home.
Fifth graders worked on early algebra skills in their warm-up activities today, solving simple equations with a known variable. They rotated through a variety of game stations based on factors, multiples, and basic multiplication facts.
Problem of the week enthusiasts may choose to work on their solutions tonight, but there is no homework for Rosh Hashanah.
