Our resident yogini warmed up Cerrito brains and bodies this morning.

An important mini-lesson on predictions today. "My book doesn't have any predictions," was what a few students said, so we'll revisit this in the days to come.

Today was the students' first formal exposure to non-fiction, or efferent, text. We had a mini-lesson on how to approach these texts. Usually, starting with the first word of text is not an efficient approach.

Who knew non-fiction could be such a ball?

I filled out a graphic organizer for this student to help him organize his ideas for a story. Students will use these tools extensively this year.

Recess is so important.
Please read, but there will be no formal homework for the next few nights for Rosh Hashanah.
