Fifth graders continued their work with perimeter and area today. Problems of the week are due tomorrow.
Blue Group: We had an exciting day learning Lattice Multiplication. As the kids said, "It's like magic!" Tonight's homework has a review page about the method and bonus problems on the last page for enthusiastic multipliers.

Purple group: Students worked to measure angles two different ways, by using protractors or using what they knew about benchmark angles in polygons, and then they built new angles using the same techniques. They also made a table of their number of correct multiplication fact answers in weekly warm-ups, to graph for homework tonight.
