Fifth graders saved their candy wrappers from last night for math class today. There were a distressingly large number.  Nevertheless, they proved to be a fabulous tool for learning about line plots, mean, median, mode, and range.

Cerrito was as quiet as a library this afternoon as students reflected on their performance so far this year on a series of detailed rubrics. We will use their self-reflections to guide our conferences on Thursday and Friday.

Thanks to all those who collected donations for UNICEF last night. We gathered well over a hundred dollars!
Homework:
Read 30 minutes (independent reading book of your choice)
Math:
4th grade: worksheets

5th grade: Write a paragraph about the candy graphs you made today. What was the most popular kind of candy? Least popular? If you were a candy company, what would these results tell you about what you should be making more of for next year?
