The Week Ahead
This four-day week will be a full one. We kicked it off with a really wonderful assembly that showcased Strawberry's marine biology faux seagull dissection and the middle school efforts to engage the changing world and awaken generous hearts at a home for the elderly, cleaning up the seashore, and doing soup kitchen work in the Tenderloin. We will be sewing a lot this week and next to prepare our costumes for Ft. Ross, and we will have visits from all the parent officers: militia, artisans, cooks, and hunters. MAP testing will happen on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and we teachers are interested to see how students do on the second go around. We imagine they will be more accustomed to the format and that they will have learned some things between October and the present. We'll see!
THERE IS NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK FOR MAP TESTING. REST UP AND ENJOY YOUR FAMILIES.

Kate Klaire spent the morning with Cerrito students discussing name calling. This is National No Name Calling Week. Try it out!

Seamsters sewed satchels for Ft. Ross this afternoon with the help of the artisan officers. Thanks Marites, Jenn, and Jean.

Some enjoyed the activity more than others...

Another happy birthday
