The Week Ahead

Homework:
Read and finish up science brochures (for most of you that means very little).

The week ahead
As I am sure many of you are experiencing in your last week of work before the holiday, we have a lot to finish. We have been working hard on personal essays for over a month, and we will publish them in the second Chanterelle of the year this Friday. On Thursday, from 8:30 to 10, we will have coffee, juice, and treats for parents and students to enjoy as we share our understandings gained from the marine biology/oceanography unit. Strawberry Creek will share their life-size kelp forest. Cerrito Creek is building a life-size tidepool and will share brochures that detail adaptations, food webs, conservation, and more about tidepool species. We'll even sing for you. So come on out! We hope you have a great week leading up to an even greater holiday.

Nieema taught students how to take their tidepool organisms from two dimensions to three using salt dough.

Students pushed hard to finish their marine biology research projects/ brochures today. It's a busy week that will culminate in our performance of understanding event for parents this Thursday morning. Thanks for organizing, room parents.
