Pt. Reyes simulation

Homework
Math: 4th grade multiplication OR pemdas worksheet; 5th grade finish POW so we can play games tomorrow.

Word Study: do a speed sort and word hunt in Words Their Way. Of course, you have to have your words with you!
Reading: read a lot and continue your response journal (you must have ten event/responses by tomorrow, since we've been working on this all week).
Cerrito Creek went positively wild yesterday, making primitive shelter, foraging for wild edibles and implements, and immersing ourselves in the foggy silence of Pt. Reyes.

A counterweight snare for small game. One would of course have to wrap his own cord from plant fibers to do this authentically.

Happy homemakers

Students collaborated to create sea monsters based on actual sea creatures – something humans have done for thousands of years. The lesson also taught students how to use hyperbole, for which they proved to have an uncanny ability.

Whoa, this hyperbole of a squid is scary!
