Write: a half-page reflection on your deprivation. How did the plain clothes go today? What are you going to do tonight without Minecraft and cookies? Also, spend 15 minutes "just writing" in the personal essay genre
Read: as always, and response journal

| Students wore plain clothes today and will again tomorrow as part of our "deprivation experiment." Many students gave up sweets or technology or another item for the next 48 hours to develop empathy for Indigenous peoples as they were moved onto the Missions. |
