Best practices for teachers require me to make student task as explicit as possible. These simple signs serve many students' needs after my verbal directions have dissolved into thin air. 

Word study with a teddy bear for comfort. This was a nice example of how peers can scaffold each other's learning. One student who understood the sort described her understanding to the other in a few different ways until the rule made sense.


A teacher's brain in calendar form. Look for an email for opportunities to help this month as we prepare for a performance, build wagons, and go camping. 
Homework:
Math
Cultural Studies reading and questions on Frontier Schools. Due Thursday. 
Read, as usual, for 20 minutes or more.
