| Stawberry was at the UC Botanical Garden for math, so we worked on finishing concept maps. They turned out really wonderful, and you'll get to see them on Friday. |

Math Club Update:
In Math Club we focused on geometry, and the What's Your Angle problem. A number of students were interested in using repeating number sequences, like (4,5,6), to make spirographs on graph paper, and predict what might happen by varying the numbers in the sequence, the numbers of numbers, or the direction the lines turned. Many of the patterns were lovely or surprising (or both!). Another engaging problem involved predicting the number of diagonals in a series of polygons, starting with a triangle (0), square (2), pentagon (5), and hexagon (9). Students noticed a pattern and made predictions. Our homework is to find out how many diagonals in a nonagon (with 9 sides), to see if our prediction of 27 is correct. Finally, some students worked on number puzzles.
