Students wrote blues songs for the different chapters in California history. More to come!

Fourth grade math
Purple group:
Our warm up this morning was a multiple choice coordinate grid problem set, in preparation for standardized testing in a couple of weeks.  Students in the plum group reviewed mixed and improper fractions with a JUMP packet, and learned ways to flexibly move between them.  Periwinkle students worked on brownie pan problems to explore multiplication with fractions; you can download the problems here.

Fourth grade math homework, due tomorrow
Purple group
Option 1: Finish JUMP packet
Option 2:  Handout; answer questions on a separate sheet of paper

Fifth graders spent the morning examining baseball standings and statistics. They worked with fractions, decimals, and percentages to figure out just how far out of first place are the Giants and the A's. More ERB practice for homework along with a TERC page. Download from yesterday's blog.
