Fridays are for math games.

According to my calculations...

Representatives of the SEVA Foundation came in this morning to speak with the class. We will be raising money for them with the Walkathon in May and participating in a community health day in Oakland on Saturday, June 2nd. They work with indigenous peoples to raise diabetes awareness, help plant community gardens, etc. We had a talking circle in which we passed burning sage and spoke of one thing we are thankful for. The SEVA people then fed us vegetables and buffalo. The students loved it! Thanks, SEVA.

Hillary shares her gratitude.

Buddies played a blindfold game in which students walked each other to trees, had them "get to know" the tree, then walks them away and takes off the blindfold. Then they had to find their way back to the tree and identify it by touch and smell.
