The Fish Bowl. Students discussed By the Great Horn Spoon then commented on our ongoing Gold Rush Voicethread.

Voicethread has been such an engaging, thought provoking platform for students to examine primary source documents. I am able to give them informal, teacher-to-student feedback as we view the comments together as a whole class.

Thanks, parents and student, appreciation feels so good. Teachers thrive on it.

A nicely organized research folder with essential questions on each of the envelopes that contain notecards.
Homework:

Read for 30 minutes, your choice of book
Finish the ERB practice packet: that's the end of it!

5th graders have 2 pages of ERB practice (their last, phew!).
Fourth grade math
Purple group:
We reviewed measures of center in data analysis today:  median, mode, and mean (or average). Students calculated each of these as well as the range.  Then students practiced their multiplication or division of multi-digit numbers, and some students worked with pan-balance problems that use algebraic reasoning.

Fourth grade math homework, due tomorrow
