Partner writing has really taken off!

We've found that reading under tables helps us focus.

Getting back into our reader's theater.

More reader's theater.

Doing a little bit of Hertzog typing.  I told them it will pay off when they're in college.

Fourth grade math
In the purple group, students shared homework and completed a mental math warm-up activity.  Then we discussed mathematical notation for division, and what each number represents in a division problem:  the number of things shared equally, the number in each set (group) and the answer being the number of sets.  Today's questions were:  How can we use skip counting to divide?  What is the relationship between division & multiplication?  We learned how to write the four expressions that part of a multiplication/division fact family for a given situation.
