5th grade mathematicians found the perimeter and area of the labyrinth this morning. They also had to find the percentage of black tiles and white tiles, the fraction that the "Follow the Child" sign takes up, and a variety of other challenges.

Authors shared their pieces from the Chanterelle personal essay issue, and it was so beautiful outside today that we had to do it in the park. 


Hillary taught a lesson on bullying today in which students viewed a short film, then went around the classroom writing anonymously what kinds of bullying they had been the victim of, witnessed, or been responsible for. There were ten or so different kinds of bullying she had them comment on, and their responses fueled a lively conversation.
